It’s not often that I get a request like this, but there’s always something new to try. Rock n’ Roll band Outraze requested a review on their Myspace tracks, something I’m not used to doing, but hey, not that I’m complaining. Back from holiday and I’ve already got some Cd reviews waiting to happen, first up is the latest Ep from the Band Blitz winners, Firetone. The guys were kind enough to send their latest Cd to allow us to see how things are coming along… Whack the Cd into a player and the first thing to hit you is a very poppy and lighter sound, Angel Inside being a very fitting introduction to the new direction from Firetone with the weight toned down and a bit of a whimsical, yet hopeful blend that crops up in the rest of the album, far removed from the dark.
