AMPjam.net was originally created by Craig Short as an offshoot from Musatronic.com, which was developed and coded by Steffi Lewis, after the latter site went down. We are by no means the first site to do what we do but we have established ourselves among other names that have been around the area, such as Concrete Chaos, New Pollution, Forbidden Beat and MK Music.
The site dedicates itself to covering the local music scene and helping it’s development by working with various bands, promoters and organisations to help reinforce the scene. We do so by not only covering gigs but also by interviewing the local bands, reviewing their EPs and LPs and also offering our photographic services to wherever possible.
Despite some misgivings from some people, the MK scene has a real possibility of becoming very vibrant and has had plenty of bands come through, be they small local bands or large touring bands like Greenday, Linkin Park, The Wildhearts and Ash. We’ll be doing our best to support everyone we can.
