You expect things to be so simple, it’s hot, you’re bored, you go for a drink before the music starts. Naturally you end up getting lost on the way to the shop and lost on the way back but still somehow managing to get to the stage in time to catch the bands that you want to see. Historically Sunday is also the scorcher of Waterside Festival days, and the weather is staying true to form.

Big Laundry Bill, as in big, as in not me...

It’s a little expected, but the weather has taken a turn for the better and is beating it’s way down on the fields of Great Linford. Unfortunately my band was playing a gig at noon so we missed a little bit of the festival, though the late arrival did have a couple of good sides, with New Pollution’s Warren and Sean of Anti-Vigilante getting there at the same time and I managed to catch a local legend in action, namely the irrepressible Big Laundry Bill. Saturday was a good runaround, but Sunday was pretty damn random towards the end, if you dare follow…

togfest-thumb-2.png Day two, waking up and moving my tent over to the Firetone lads, the morning turns into a mission for bacon butties, a jam with two talented young lads from Northampton and curiosity of questionable camping debris. The morning passes too quickly though and I receive word to meet my buddies Kate and Steffi at the control room, we meet up and I just catch the Terrapins before they set up.
