I find it amazing how history can repeat itself, just like last year Saturday was a good one for the weather, then just like last year, the clouds look a bit menacing for the Sunday. Weather aside, today is looking as equally busy as the Saturday was and the bands are looking like another good mix of rock, metal, experimental and soul acts. Yesterday was a bit of a blast, so it’s time to see if today can follow suit despite the dreary weather and a bit of a hangover from last night’s barbecue…

I’ll tell you one thing for free, Sunday gigs are a nightmare sometimes. Not for us but I do have to hand it to the promoters, Sunday is usually a pretty quiet day with low turnouts. But not tonight. Sucioperro are in MK and it seems quite a few people have turned up to get a piece of the action and who can blame them? Support comes from a couple of local names too, local two-piece Buick McKane and also from Firetype are having a blast tonight…
Back at the Pitz on another Friday to see another set of bands, tonight featuring some local talent and a little bit more from further afield, it’s mostly a noisy one tonight though, with some progressive work from Men of Unitus, Picore and Meggidddo. Also featuring are Zeitgeist who took part in the Band Blitz and Firetype who are headlining with a bit of a return and a few new tricks up their sleeve, though admittedly I’m most interested in seeing what Picore have to offer, I’m just a sucker for anything new…
